beats mcafee hands down 5 out of 5

I switched from nortons to mcafee. Never make that mistake again. Norton is a superior product.

Good protection ! 5 out of 5

Upgraded from Trend Micro PCcillin to protect three machines running Vista and XP. Offers good protection with minimal impact on CPU / processors. Haven't had any issues so far in a year. Easy to install and configure and default settings out of the box make for a good starting point.

Good Software 5 out of 5

Good to have Norton on machines, a good anti virus software..
It is always good to have an antivirus software in your machines...

Great system, does not eat up resources. 5 out of 5

NOTE: This is the old version. I bought it back in March 2009 and since then have bought 2010 and it pretty much is the same. The review below is accurate.
PROS: Norton Tool Bar is awesome while browsing the net. Very fast, sleek, does not get in the way of your using your machine.
CONS: Pop-ups are a bit annoying.
FINAL VERDICT: Get the new one (Norton Internet security 2010) its worth it.
SUMMARY: Bought this based on my experience with Norton in general and some of the reviews I had read about its performance and sort of "lean" use of computer resources. Updates are quick (they call it "pulse" updates, an apt name) and do not get in the way of your usage of your machine. Antivirus fires up when you are not using the computer, but shows a slightly annoying pop-up which wakes your computer from sleep. Does not appear to be a setting to turn this off without doing anything drastic.
NOTE: This review is for 2010 on both Windows 7 and Windows Vista.
